Why You Should Focus On The Most Important Thing to Help Animals
In general, I think it's probably much, much more impactful to do 1 very important thing per day than to do 10 slightly important things. 📊 🚀
When it comes to helping animals, there are endless things we could do to try to help. When we have so much that we could do, what should we do?
In my experience, it helps to ask questions like this: If this were the only thing I got done today—or even this week—would I be happy with that? Is this the single most important thing for me to work on this week? Or, put another way: If I could only work on one task or project this week, what would it be?
The answer to that question is probably the thing you should focus on first. Knock that out, and you can feel good about your week. (Maybe you can even get two really important things done. 🏆)
I've also noticed that the most important thing is usually a little scary. 😬 It's something that intimidates me—something that I would rather avoid for a few days. But when I choose to do the most important thing, and I block off 2–3 hours to make progress on it, I always feel good about it.
Keep that in mind when your todo list gets overwhelming. We will all die someday, with many things left undone. Choose to do the most important thing, and leave the rest aside for now. It's worth it. ❤️
